February 2026

 Happy 8th Birthday, Macy!

Macy's Baptism

Macy chose to follow her Savior, Jesus Christ, into the waters of baptism this month. My sister, Shantae, and her family came up for Macy's baptism, making it extra special.

Shantae gave Macy a nail-painting kit for her birthday/baptism. The best part was she actually did her nails for her!

Lilly, Annabeth and Rebecca had fun venturing in our stream with us. The water was a little cold, but it was nice and warm outside.

Keystone Skiing

We took the girls skiing in Keystone (Macy's 1st time!). The snow this winter has been scarce, but it was still ok for us. Benson and Cole got to spend the night/day with Grandma and Grandpa.

February Fun

Clara participated in her school's talent show this year, singing "Crossing A Bridge" from Anastasia. She is so brave to get up there by herself at 11 and sing in front of an audience.

Benson was helping me with our yard spring clean up. I cut down the old grass and he hauled it to the garbage. Perfect job for him, even if it was taller than him!

Benson wanted to exercise with me (while I was doing crunches on the floor). We rolled out his yoga mat and he promptly grabbed a blanket and his slothy and snuggled up next to me. Not exactly exercising with me, but still such a cute workout buddy.

January 2026

 Happy 15th Birthday, Cole!

Cole got his driving permit! 😟

January Fun

In the off-season for soccer Macy's team did Futsal, an indoor soccer with shorter fields. She still loves it!

We decided this year was the year for a greenhouse. It was harder to put together than anticipated, but thanks to my dad's help, he and Dave were able to get it up and together.

Macy had Pioneer Day this month. We are sure getting our money's worth out of this costume!

Macy's art work was displayed at the public library so of course we had to go see it.

We had MLK Day off so the kids and I ventured up to the Denver Aquarium.

Clara had Renaissance Day at school. Fortunately she has REALLY long hair, so we could do a cool double crown braid.

The Elder's Quorum had a potato derby, where we made cars out of potatoes an then raced them. Dave loaded his up with heavy bolts to try and make it faster, but it still did not place. When we came home Benson just had to make his own potato car too.
