Panama!
Dave and I snuck away for a few days to Panama City, Panama just the two of us.
Learning about the Panama Canal's history and seeing it in action was fascinating.
We did an excursion where we rode in small boats to a beautiful waterfall hike where we got to swim and enjoy the scenery, and then on to an island where the Emberara tribe still lives today. They made us lunch (fresh caught halibut from the rive that morning, fried plantains and fresh fruit), taught us about their way of life, and put on a song/dance performance for us. It's always so fascinating to see how these native tribal people live and how different it is from our lives. Sometimes I wish things were simpler in our lives.

A young man in Cole's teachers quorum was having seizures and diagnosed with some pretty scary things. This group of boys got together and made him cards and gathered gifts for him to show him love.
Macy chose to make a Dutch doll for her 2nd grade class project on immigration. She was very happy with how it turned out!

April was warm enough to plan most of our starts in the greenhouse for the first time! Very exciting day around our here.
Spring was so beautiful and warm this year that my fall hiking group made a few more trips out.
