December was a busy month for our family. Clara keeps getting cuter and cuter every day (Cole's nickname for her is little cutes - it's absolutely adorable the way he dotes on her). She is also getting stronger and smarter, making my life more complicated. Her new favorite thing is finding our stools and pushing them all over the house to get into everything, especially my utensil drawers. I now consistently have three big helpers every time I want to make anything in the kitchen, and it takes exponentially longer to get meals ready. Clara is the sunshine in our house though.
We also celebrated Lexi's 3rd Birthday. She is still so little and at the same time growing up so fast. She helped me make her cake and was very proud of her pink sprinkles and pink candies on top. She is definitely a girly-girl, but still wrestles and rough-houses with her big brother and holds her own pretty well.
Clara was just as excited to be opening presents as Lexi was.
The ward Christmas party was also a hit. Clara was the cutest little elf there, although she wasn't quite sure about Santa. All Lexi asked Santa for this year was a candy cane - what a sweetie! She really, honestly just wanted a candy cane (because brother got one at school and she didn't).
We spent several days over Christmas down in Pagosa Springs, Colorado at a cabin in the woods with the entire Blacker family, and it was beautiful! We got there right when a big blizzard came through and it dumped several feet of snow on us, making it the prettiest white Christmas I have ever had. Everyone made it safe and we had lots of fun playing in the snow over the next couple days.
Christmas Morning 2015
I don't think Grandma has ever had so much help unwrapping her presents...
Grandma and Grandpa made super soft blankets for all of the grandkids. Cole particularly loved his - he would not get out of it.
Lexi loved have girl cousins around to play with.
The Sledding was awesome. We made a run down the driveway, banking off the car that was stuck.
This is Dave - he was the first down.
Cole and Mom going down together.
Bryan giving Dave a push.
Cole loved the tubes.
Lexi was barely heavy enough to make the tube go, but she loved it anyway.
Fun times with Uncle Russ.
Grandpa and the grandkids built a ping-pong ball race track out of toilet paper rolls.
It was definitely a hit.
Grandpa reading stories with all of his Granddaughters.
From left to right, Ellie, Katie, Clara, Alice and Lexi.
And of course we had to decorate cookies with Grandma.
Clara was content just nibbling on hers.
