Merry Christmas from the Beutler kids and Santa!
We went to visit Santa at the Bass Pro Shop and couldn't get out of the store without taking a picture with the giant grizzly bear as well.
We got a new tree and decorations this year to fit our new home.
They were perfect. :)
We visited our stake's Creche were they had hundreds of nativities displayed from all over the world, as well as a kids room where they could dress up as people from the nativities. Cole was a wise man and Lexi was Mary.
Lexi's preschool class put on a really cute "Gingerbread Man" program, and Lexi was one of the bears trying to eat the gingerbread man. She learned all of the songs perfectly and was nervous, but very excited and animated.
The kids also got to visit Santa at the church Christmas party.
We made lots of different chocolate-covered pretzels this year for our new neighbors and got to meet many people that we haven't met before. I was once again grateful for my giant island.
Our baby is getting bigger and bigger! This is me at 28 weeks. I'm now 31 weeks and counting (at the end of December). Not long before we meet this little girl!
We started getting out some of our baby things for when she makes her appearance, and Clara all of a sudden became very attached to everything that used to be her's when she was a baby. She's decided that she still fits in the car seat and stroller and that the clothes can fit her dolls. It's going to be a tough adjustment for her...
We got a new glider chair for our nursery and it came in a very big box. I'm always amazed at how much entertainment a box can provide.
Aside from all things Christmas, our December was filled with birthday celebrations. We started off with a friend's birthday party for Lexi at her gymnastics gym. They had a bouncy blow-up slide, trampolines, a foam pit, a cool three-person swing, and to top it all of Princess Ana from Frozen led the party. Lexi was one happy 5-yr old girl.
Lexi's Frozen cupcakes turned out a little bit better than Clara's Elsa cake. They had chocolate snowflakes and jewel rings on top.
We had a family celebrations on Lexi's birthday at Grandma and Grandpa Blacker's house as well. She was spoiled with presents from all of her Grandparents and loved all of the attention.
Lexi's big present from Mom and Dad was getting her ear pierced. She has been asking for quite a while and we finally gave in for her birthday. She was excited, but nervous. Lexi is a brave girl but she definitely gets the jitters sometimes.
Fortunately they had two girls pierce both ears at the same time, because things quickly progressed from nervous and excited to not happy and in pain. The crying didn't last long though and she was a brave little girl. She kept telling us all the things she was better at and able to do now that she was 5 and not 4 anymore. According to Lexi, everything is better when you're 5.
In between Lexi's birthday parties we also celebrated my 33rd birthday. A frozen custard cake, an instant pot and jewelry from my kiddos made for a fun evening. Needless to say, I had a lot of help opening my gifts. We were happy to have Aunt Melissa visiting as well!
