We've had lots going on recently in our family, making blog posts a little more scarce. The biggest news from the Beutler household is that we are expecting another baby! A little girl will be joining our family this November, due the 24th. We are half way there and excited to welcome her into our family. Cole is surprisingly gentle with babies now and Lexi is obsessed with babies, even if those "babies" are older than her. Here are some of the fun times that we've had over the last several months:
February:
We had lots of fun times at the zoo. Cole's first camel ride and many carousel rides made for good memories.
Cole's preschool has a "Transportation Day" every year where they bring in all sorts of vehicles, tractors, buses, a helicopter, planes flying overhead, boats, race cars, etc., as well as a little petting zoo. The helicopter landing was really windy and a bit scary for him, but he ate up all of the other types of transportation. He's still talking about it!
The Gilbert Temple dedication was also a very special event in our area recently. It is a beautiful temple and we are blessed to have it so close to us.
March:
Cole had a "Bike Safety" day at his preschool as well, where police officers came in and educated the kids on helmets and different aspects of bike safety. Cole was just excited to get to bring his new bike to school. Learning how to pedal was a recent development for him.
Dave took Cole to a train park/museum in Scottsdale and he ate it up! Trains are definitely one of his favorite things right now.
April:
This was our first Easter dying eggs, and we had lots of fun. The only problem was that Cole didn't quite understand why we couldn't keep the eggs forever and was sorely disappointed when we "lost" them several weeks after Easter. Both kids loved hunting for the eggs that the Easter bunny hid though. Ironically, Lexi was probably better at finding them than Cole.
May:
We had a fun visit to Utah for Uncle Joe and Aunt Kaela's wedding. Congrats to the happy couple!
June:
More trains - this time made out of play dough with Daddy.
Lexi loves hanging out with her crush, Henry, at church. She's not shy with the kisses or hugs.
