We were blessed with lots of help from Grandma and Grandpa Blacker and Grandma Beutler after Clara was born, and Cole and Lexi made sure to take full advantage of their new playmates. They especially loved riding the train at the airport with Daddy and going to the Children's Museum with Blackers.
It's hard to see, but if you look closely you can see Cole's first family portrait, including baby Clara. Appropriately, most of the family members have big heads and noses with long legs. ;-)
Cole's feet are a tad bigger than Clara's...
When we got all of the baby things out for Clara, Lexi assumed they were all for her, including the bassinet. We thought she was such a little baby doll before Clara came, but she suddenly turned into a big girl after we brought Clara home.
Making guacamole with Grandpa was especially fun for Cole.
It has turned into a tradition that when a baby is being born in the Blacker family we all pick a date and make a guess on when they will arrive. My guess was November 13th, and I won the contest by one minute (Clara was born at 11:59pm). I was not going to lose!
Here is the trophy that Dad made me. :)
We also celebrated Dave passing his Cardiac CT boards in November with dinner from Cafe Rio. Lexi sneaked Dave's dinner away from him for a minute and was so proud of herself.
Congrats Davie for being so wonderful!
Jogging buddies already. Lexi was thrilled to sit next to Clara.
We had a quick visit from Aunt Liz too - she looks good with a baby. ;-)
