November was a busy month for us. We spent the first week in Florida with Dave's family, playing on the beach and cheering on Stan and Melissa at the Iron Man Race. It has been a long time since we've been to the beach and the kids didn't remember it, so digging in the beautiful white sand, collecting sea shells and playing in the waves was a blast. Even Clara enjoyed the beach.
The kids were also able to participate in an "Iron Kid" fun run. They did some jumping jacks to warm up and raced in a huge crowd of other kids. Dave ran with Cole and Melissa ran with Lexi. Even after a tumble, Lexi got up and finished (and then proceeded to run the entire way back to the condo). They love their medals.
Almost immediately after we returned home from Florida we were greeted by our first snowfall of the winter. We were so excited, but only last short spurts before it was way too cold to be outside. It will take us a while to get used to this, but the kids loved it.
Cole couldn't wait until the sun came up to go outside...
Lexi was having a hard time walking in the snow, but being pulled on the sled was a lot of fun.
Lexi's first snowman of the season.
Cole did great in his first primary program.
Unbelievably, he stayed on the stand then entire sacrament meeting.
Grandma and Grandpa Blacker came to visit for Thanksgiving, and as usual Grandma brought delicious treats. This time is was super chocolaty turkey cupcakes. The kids had no problem demolishing them. Grandpa spent the majority of his time playing card games with Cole with Grandma helped me get ready for the meal. It was a fun weekend filled with snow, yummy food, and fun games.
