Hopefully our April snow showers bring May flowers!
This spring has been just as schizophrenic as last - never a dull moment here in Colorado Springs. We started and ended the month with snow, but hopefully we are done with it until next winter.
Lexi is preparing for her ballet recital the end of May. Here she is giving a sneak peak the day they got their costumes. As you can see, she has about as much grace as her mother. ;-) She's definitely more concerned about staying on her dot on the floor than anything else. She gets kudos for trying so hard though.
Lexi and Clara are the best of friends most days. This is my favorite picture of these two. Lexi loves her piggy tails and Clara can not get enough dress-up clothes on at once. My happy girls.
On the other hand, Clara has decided that our new house has monsters and she refuses to sleep. That results in lots of days like the picture below, where she's grumpy beyond belief and then crashes in the car seat right before we have to get out. She's also decided that only Mommy can help her, driving Dave and I nuts when we're trying to divide and conquer.
Our Easter egg hunt was more fun than usual in our new house. Lots more places to hide eggs and older kids who can actually find them when they are hidden (mostly). Nobody would hold still long enough for a picture, so this is what we got.
I was even able to capture the Easter Bunny in this photo.
The kids looked adorable in their new church clothes from Grandma Beutler for Easter Sunday.
Cole had his first karate tournament in April, and all things considered he did pretty well. He earned two bronze medals. Weapons was a new concept to him and a little tricky, but he loved sparing. His tactic is to go after the other person as fast and hard as he can - no messing around. He's developing some strong skills and learning to love the sport.
Our little lady bug got her very own helmet and never takes it off. Do you think she likes it?
Aren't my kids the cutest?!
Cole's stick collection adorns our driveway - nobody is allowed to touch or move them.
Clara sense of style is stunning.
Clara eats ice cream like her Daddy - just making sure not to waste any. ;-)
Second haircut of her life went much better than the first.
Bubbles and braids and she was one happy girl.
Lexi was trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue during our last storm. You can't really tell in the pictures, but the snowflakes we HUGE and she was having some success.
