Decorating Valentines Cookies with Grandma and Grandpa Blacker
We finally got a puppy!!! It took a lot of negotiating on my part, but when Dave realized I wasn't going to take no for an answer this time he took advantage and got a ski trip and a new mattress out of it. Meet Mac, born 12-5-2019. AKA Big Mac, Maccy Doo, Mac Attack, and many more fun nicknames. He weighed about 3 pounds when we brought him home and should grow to be between 7-9 pounds.
Cole was pretty excited to take Mac on his first walk.
Clara's preschool carpool buddies had to come in and meet the new puppy.
Dave and Lexi's Skiing Adventure
I made several baby quilts this month. Lots of friends/family having little ones!
At the end of January/beginning of February I got really sick with what I thought was the flu. Unfortunately, that nastiness turned into Pneumonia. Upper respiratory illnesses are not fun!!! Thank Goodness I had Mom and Dad here to help us out while I was sick.
Random Fun in February
Clara has fun playing with our neighbors Macie and Boston (Clara's in the middle)
A beautiful spring sunset in Colorado Springs.
Cole made a "Cole Island" map for a geography project. It's a little hard to read, but it's a mysterious island, with a teal sea in the middle (teal is his favorite color), pizza peaks, lake Beutler, sibling swamp, puffin beach, field of flies, lolipop lake, pea peninsula, and happy hollow. It brought a smile to my face.
Macy LOVES taking selfies. It cracks me up - when she can see herself on the camera she smiles 10x's bigger than normal.
Lexi lost her top front tooth!
Lexi started taking a gymnastics class again. She is strong! I missed the photo at the top of the rope, but she gets there.
Family walk on a warm Sunday.
Macy was helping Grandma butter the buns. I think she ate more butter than she actually got on the buns.
Macy has also recently discovered a love of painting.
For a date night one evening Dave and I hung out at his office and finally put up all of his diplomas and a couple family pictures. I know - we're pretty exciting! ;-)
I was making frosting and some powdered sugar spilled out of the bowl. Before I realized it I found Macy licking the counter frantically to get it all. I guess I need to be quicker!
This girl's favorite spot is in the middle of the counter and everything going on, sampling all of the food.
My cousin Kami and her husband Justin moved to the Springs recently and stayed with us for a few weeks. Happy birthday Justin!
