Isn't Benson the cutest one-year-old you have ever seen?!
Another piano recital in the books! These two did great.
Cole's swim team had a party at the bowling alley. He had a blast.
Benson's hair often poufs up right above the bald spot that he's developed - it's so funny and hard to comb down.
Let the braces saga begin! Lexi is the first of our kids to get braces, but definitely won't be the last. Her overbite is so bad that when she chews her bottom teeth hit the top of her mouth and were making it bleed. This is round one, round two probably coming when she's in her teens.
Watching storms roll into the Springs is absolutely draw dropping sometimes. I had to pull over and snap this picture while I was driving because it was so dramatic.
Cole did an egg-drop project in school and came home and instantly roped his sister into building some too. They were very creative in their designs. Lots of cotton, tape, paper goods and eggs.
Clara's school usually does "The Gingerbread Man" play in kindergarten, but her class didn't get to do it because of COVID so they did it in first grade. Lexi's gingerbread girl dress from her kindergarten year was quite small on Clara long-legs, but she managed to squeeze into it. Macy loved seeing her big sister in the play.
Dave worked so hard on stringing and putting up our Christmas lights this year. Don't they look amazing?! I absolutely love the angled roof lines all lit up.
Happy 37th birthday to me!
This year we went to Zoo lights with Russ and Katie's family. We even did the sky ride up the mountain in the dark (not my favorite). The kids seemed to love it though.
Our stake puts on a live nativity every year, and the kids love seeing the animals.
We have these bunch'ems that lock together and can make fun things with. Lexi decided it was a good idea to make a crown out of them. We spent a really, really long time digging them out of her hair. Fortunately, we didn't have to cut out many of them.
Happy 9th birthday to Lexi! She specifically requested a coconut cake, so that's what I made her. I'm slowly figuring out this baking at high altitude thing. She also got her sushi birthday dinner. Favorite gift this year was a gymnastics bar.
Dave, Lexi and my dad tried to go skiing in a pretty bad blizzard with Russ and Jake. Not such a good idea, but they got a few runs in. We tried to play in the deep snow drifts by the hotel before we got too cold.
The ice cream parlor was probably the most successful part of the trip.
This is how we do Christmas decorations with a one-year-old. He loves to walk all around it trying to get the bulbs.
Mac blends in with our Christmas tree skirt. 😄
Guess who showed up for a surprise visit?! After everything Nathan has been through this year with breaking his neck, it was a Christmas miracle!
Our Annual Nativity Reenactment
Christmas
Matching Christmas jammies, even for the dog!
We have a tradition of waiting at the bottom (or top) of the stairs until everyone is ready and then going into the Christmas tree and stockings together. It was quite the entourage this year!
Santa brought Benson and Macy a power wheels for Christmas!
Cousin Fun!
