Gymnastics
The state gymnastics meet is something else. It's impressive how they have everything organized and how things are run so efficiently. They competed by age group rather than the whole bronze team all at once, so she was only there with a handful of her teammates, but she did great. Her team ended up winning 1st place in the mid-size team division and 1st place overall! That's amazing!
Las Vegas Trip
Dave took Lexi and Clara to visit his sister, Liz, in Las Vegas. It was a short trip, but they had a blast!
Hiking
We spent a lot of time hiking this summer. We are trying to get our family prepared for hiking in Glacier National Park next month so we have been taking advantage of every opportunity we get to hike. My dad and Zac are getting ready for a big hike with his Young Men group too, so my dad took the older kids hiking several times. Lexi and Cole will be participating in a Trek experience with our ward in August, so they are trying to prepare for that as well.
Dad, Zac and Cole all got the same hiking shoes - yay for good sales!
Girl's Camp
Lexi had a blast at Stake Girl's Camp this year. They went to a high adventure retreat in the mountains and she tried all the things. She loves being toted on by the older girls.
Rock Wall Progress
Dave made some good progress on our Rock Climbing Wall this month. Instead of installing an elevator, we decided to make a 3-story climbing wall. He got the auto-belay in on the second story, which was no small feet. He's working on getting the routes up, but the kids couldn't wait to climb so they tried it out with just a partial route up. It is a hit! Only Benson got stuck on the wall and didn't want to belay down.
June Fun
Our neighbors up the hill from us took this shot. We live at the end of the rainbow!
Lexi had a cooking party with friends. They made Andes mint cookies and banana cream pie. Let's just say it took a while to clean up afterwards.
