Introducing Benson David Beutler.
He was born on November 21st, 2020 at 10:54 am, coming in at 7 pounds and 19 inches long, practically perfect in every way.
Benson's Birth
Benson was breech for the majority of my pregnancy and toward the end the fluid in my womb was getting low, so we planned to attempt a version (to flip Benson to be head down) 37 weeks. If he flipped, I would have been induced, and if he wouldn’t flip, I would have a C-section. He didn’t flip. Benson was born via C-section at 37 weeks gestation in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Memorial North Hospital. My last one had to come with a little drama of his own. Despite my C-section being awful, baby and mommy were healthy and we are all glad Benson made it safely into this world.
Benson's Homecoming
Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, there were visitor restrictions in the hospital and the family was not able to come meet him there. The older kids met him for the first time when we brought him home. They made a "Welcome Benson" sign for him (with Grandpa Blacker's help), and were soooo excited to meet him. He could not be more loved by his family.

Clara's 6th Birthday
Happy birthday to the sunshine girl in our family! She has been waiting forever to get her ears pierced and it finally happened. There were a few tears in between the before and after pictures, but overall she was one brave cookie. I think her favorite part was getting to pick out a stuffed animal afterward. This girl seriously loves her stuffies! And we seriously love her! Her birthday festivities continued with having a few friends over to play in the bouncy house and have pizza and ice cream cake. Despite all of the restrictions with COVID she was able to have a pretty stellar birthday.
Macy loves to "go camping" with whoever she can rope into it. Lexi was a good sport this time in making her a sleeping bag and playing with her.
Mom came up with a new way to cook the turkey for Thanksgiving this year- sunbathing! 😁
Because of rising COVID numbers in our area, the school decided to do 100% e-learning from Thanksgiving break through Christmas break. Of course I have all 4 of the older kids home for 7 weeks right after having a baby. Let's just say they are not self-sufficient yet. When will this pandemic end?!
