December 2020

 Happy 1-month to Benson!

We can not get enough of this precious little guy. He is growing and changing daily and we are trying our very best to soak it all in. Dave's mom was able to come for a visit and meet Benson as well - we love Grandma time!

This is Benson next to a picture of Clara when she was about a week older than him. We only have one mold for our babies!

Every single time I try and nurse the baby the dog jumps up on my lap and tries to snuggle in. Out of everyone in the family, Mac is definitely the one feeling most displaced by Benson!

Scripture study with the whole crew + Grandma.

Making brownies with Grandma is the best!

I am one tired momma of 5!

Mommy -HELP!

Clara was star of the week right after Thanksgiving. She loved making her poster!

Cole is progressing with his cello - he has quite the mind for music!

Cole and Lexi also had a private recital where they played duets with Grandma and Grandpa Blacker. I didn't get a pic snapped of them all together, but want to remember this!

Happy Birthday, Lexi!
Eight is going to be great for this spunky girl! Her favorite gifts were a new bike with gears and her very own set of scriptures with her name engraved on them and a case made especially for her by Mom.

Gingerbread House Making

This is how we play games and watch shows around here. To each their own...

Christmas Eve Nativity
We have a tradition of reenacting the nativity on Christmas Eve as we read the story of Christ's birth together as a family from the Bible. This year we were lucky enough to have my cousin Kami and her husband Justin join us for Christmas Eve. Kami and Justin made a great Mary and Joseph! And of course Benson was the perfect newborn baby Jesus. Dave was a perfect donkey, Lexi and Clara were angels, Macy was a shepherd, and Cole and Grandma were wise men.

This made me laugh so hard, having a newborn right now myself.

Christmas Eve Jammies
This year we decided to get matching Christmas Eve Jammies for the whole family (including the dog). Mac was not a fan. He let us dress him up and then literally went stiff and would not move in them. He must have thought he was in trouble and just sat there pouting until we took them off him. 😂
Benson's jammies were a few sizes too big, but he was a good sport and didn't fuss about them.

Christmas morning!
Christmas at our house is so fun right now. The kids are at the age where they love opening their presents and watching their family open the presents they picked out for them. The expressions on their faces are priceless!

Harry Potter Jelly Beans were one of Cole's favorite presents (he recently finished reading the Harry Potter books).

I was laughing so hard because Dave and I got each other essentially the same present for Christmas. I guess it was a good gift!
