Benson is 6 months old! Where has the time gone?!
Mother's day was a little low-key this year, but the kids made some fun gifts for their grandmas and Dave made me a yummy steak dinner.
Lexi's primary teacher, Sister Beier, passed away at the beginning of May and we attended the funeral with the kids. They made her special flowers to put with her things to show her their love and sadness. I think it's the first funeral they have been to. Despite Lexi's smile here, so was absolutely heartbroken and there were lots and lots of tears over the next several days, as well as some good teaching opportunities about what happens when we die and how we believe that families can be together in this life and in the eternities.
Benson LOVES taking baths with his big sisters. Clara is not so excited about it.
This is going to be the best picture to show at Clara's high school graduation, missing bottom teeth and all. Can't believe this girl is done with Kindergarten already!
Grandma and Grandpa Blacker had to try out their new cotton candy machine before the family reunion, and Lexi and Macy were more than willing to be the taste testers! Lexi just had eye surgery, so she's wearing goggles to make sure that none of the spun sugar in the air gets into her eyes.
Blacker Family Reunion
Our reunion coincided with the Air Force graduation ceremony, so we all parked at Great Wolf Lodge (which is super close to the academy) and watched the Thunderbirds fly over show from Nathan and Lizi's monster van.
Russ didn't want to get any die on his pants, so this is what we endured together.
