Family Pictures!
Tabernacle
Our stake set up a life-size replica of the Tabernacle (the portable temple of Moses and the Israelites while in the wilderness), and hosted walk-through tours for the community for a couple weeks. The youth were able to learn about it for several months ahead of time and study it, and then they were able to be tour guides during the exhibit. Lexi chose to do this and was a tour guide several different days, teaching people about different parts of the tabernacle and their significance especially as it relates to our modern days temples. Lexi was even featured in the church news as one of the tour guides!
The cousins came for a tour during one of Lexi's shifts. :)
Dave and I volunteered also, Dave as medical support and me as a golf cart driver back and forth from our church to the tabernacle set up across the street for those who needed a ride. The night that I volunteered there was rain all around us in the city. We watched as the thunderstorms rolled in and prayed and hoped that they would not disrupt the tours going on that night. The lower picture is of the storms all around and a clearing directly over where the tabernacle was - a miracle.
BYU vs CSU
BYU came to play in Colorado for the first time in many years, so of course Dave got tickets for us. It was a very close game, but we won, which made it so fun for everyone.
Macy had "Constitution" Day at school, where she got to dress up and give a presentation on one of the constitutional delegates. Her class even had a mock signing of the constitution where they each got to sign it.
Grandparents Day
TCA celebrates Grandparents day with a concert and presentation the kids can all invite their grandparents to. Afterward we took them out to lunch and had a fun afternoon together.
Grandpa and Grandma also invited us to join them at an Alpaca Farm where we got to feed them and pet them.
Aubrey's Hiking Group
With Benson in Preschool in the mornings and all of the other kids in school, I was able to join a friend's hiking group semi-regularly. It has been food for my soul! Colorado is an absolutely beautiful place to live and I love every minute of being in the mountains.
The week it was my turn to drive the alternator in our SUV gave out while winding down a mountain canyon. I thought I was going to kill all the ladies in my car as they were happily chatting and clueless to the fact that everything stopped working all at once (including the gas pedal). Fortunately I was able to pull over to the side while the breaks were still working. They caught a ride home and I got a tow, so no real harm, but it scared me for sure.
September Fun
Clara had an assembly at school where she got to go up and see a real bald eagle.
Benson had his tonsils out, adenoids out, and ear tubes put in this month, all in the hopes of helping with his ear infections and congestion/snoring. He was nervous, but it's amazing how distracted a kid can be when you give him a tablet. I promised all the popsicles he wanted after the surgery, and he took me up on that offer. We went through SO MANY POPSICLES.
I was preparing to make flower crowns with my activity day girls and Mom came over to help me. This was the sample crown we put together.

The ward primary program was a little bit much for Benson this year.
We occasionally get together with a group of people to play Hand and Foot cards. We have the best friends.
Some of Macy's friends at a birthday party.
Lexi was getting her appliance checked and Benson wanted to watch the show on the TV above her, so he just snuggled up and joined her on the chair. Lexi was sweet to let him cuddle.
These two have so much fun together. Lately Benson lives in super-hero costumes.
Macy's soccer is in full swing now.
We left Clara in charge for a little bit while we ran somewhere. We got several calls from Macy, who was not happy with the way Clara was taking control, and came home to this note. Cracks me up!
I love haircut day!
