Baby Chicks Have Arrived!
This was the cutest package we will ever get in the mail! We had to pick them up from the post office and could hear the chirping in the back when we walked in. The boxed chirped in the car the whole way home. They are all so soft and fluffy! We have 5 Copper Marans, 5 Easter Eggers, and 5 mixed.
Penny Arcade in Manitou Springs
Boonzaaijer's Dutch Bakery
We visited the only Dutch Bakery in town with Jennifer and some family friends. So yummy!
Lexi's Gymnastics Meets
Lexi has been working hard and is having fun competing. The bar is her favorite event. This whole world is new to Dave and I, but it's a big deal. We're proud of our girl.
Lexi's 5th Grade Continuation
Another big milestone for Lexi - 5th grade continuation! It started with "chalk the walk", where the 5th graders leave the elementary school and walk up the sidewalk to the middle school, getting high-5's and cheers from their families and the younger kids. Then there was a big ceremony and some big feelings as Lexi said goodbye to her teachers and her friends (she finished this year at her previous school and will start 6th grade at the new school by our new home).
Camping with Grandpa at the Sand Dunes
Grandpa took Cole, Clara and Benson camping with his ward at the Sand Dunes. Cole was the fire master and had a blast. Benson just loved being included in all the big kid stuff. Lots of good memories.
Riding Lessons
There is a family in our new neighborhood that has a horse property, and we were lucky enough to be able to take horseback riding lessons this summer from Emma, a true Rodeo Queen! The kids LOVED it.

Sometimes the bloopers are just as good as the good picture...
Piano Guys Concert with the older kids
Dave and I hiked the Incline in preparation for our big hike coming up. It's not my favorite, but definitely a good workout.
Clara had "Market Day" in her 3rd grade class after a unit on economics. She spent weeks making various Perler Bead creations and got to sell them to her classmates, who also had little shops set up selling various things. The kids got a certain amount of fake money, had to keep track of how much their goods cost to make, how much they sold them for, pay "rent" to the teacher for their desk space, and how much profit they had at the end. They could then go around and spend their extra money on the goods the other kids were selling. Clara had so much fun!
Got my picture wall up!
Lexi had to research a country and do a presentation on it for her gifted writing class. She chose The Netherlands, and Jennifer came in to her class and help Lexi present. Lexi loved having her there with her.
It's flower time (almost)! They have to stay in the garage for a week or two longer just to make sure we don't get any late May snow.
Hammocks are up in the back of our lot!
Benson loves being in primary with his big sister and going up to the front with her, even if he has no clue what they are supposed to be doing.
Sunday walk with the grandparents. We had to take advantage of the beautiful afternoon.
Watching the Thunderbirds perform at the Air Force Academy Graduation is always a treat. This year we joined Katie and her kids and Dad.
Jennifer often meets up with other au pairs and our kids for play dates, this time at the zoo.
